Fireworks are cool for the first five minutes, and then it just sort of plays on a loop. I have to admit that los Chinos sure know how to do a badass fireworks display. Even my jaded, years-of- Disneyland-fireworks spectatorship was duly impressed. Here are some sad little shots taken from my friend's balcony the night of National Day.
