Jesus don't live here
I was met with a look of confusion and laughter today when I asked my undergrads if they were doing anything for Christmas. Oh, that funny, half-blooded-looking American teacher lady. Jesus, you would have thought I was asking them about their Sukkot plans or something. Twice today I was asked by students exactly what date Christmas is on. One even asked, "is it always on Dec. 25?"

Your Sukkot reference made my day. My coffee almost came out of my nose. So they don't have any Burl Ives movies on TV there?
