Lady pilots
Some big rah-rah China news around here is that the Chinese Air Force recently graduated the first class of female fighter pilots. Sixteen of them in total. They'll be making their debut at the National Day parade in October, which will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Also happened upon this witty little clip on the Rachel Maddow show.
Rachel Maddow seems gleeful that China might be issuing this training and status hypocritically. Why is she gloating? Has she checked the U.S.'s record of military "equality" lately?

I hope there aren't any of those "air show" mishaps on the National Day Parade that are so common in the states!
