Something sweet

We capped off our night of Kanye with a popular Taiwanese dessert, bao bing. This foot and a half tall tower of shaved ice is covered with sweetened condensed milk, sweetened red beans and green mung beans, chunks of tapioca and fresh mango. It is a delicious taste sensation. Don't knock it 'till you try it.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)That looks like something from a sci-fi thriller. I hope the saying " You are what you eat", isn't true. If it is, you're so screwed.

That is the biggest shaved ice I've ever seen!! Has the supersize craze hit China as well? What I really want to know is, did you finish it? :)

Wow--was that an individual or group serving?

It's a group serving so this giant sweet bean snow cone volcano was shared among three of us.

Killer--glad three shared...beans? I guess so!

Our new frozen yogurt place has sweet red beans as a topping. Maybe I'll have to try it. But I gotta say, this certainly doesn't appeal to my western sense of culinary asthetics.

For a minute there, I thought it was a photo of Jabba the Hut.
