It's a world of joy and a world of fear

Before my encounter with the donkey, I went with friends to the grand opening of an art gallery owned by a wealthy Beijing art collector. One of my colleagues helped curate the inaugural exhibition of contemporary Chinese painting. The exhibition space is located inside a park called the "Shuguang Disaster Prevention Theme Park," which also houses a Korean owned-and-operated driving range.
