I deserve a break today

This afternoon I decided to get a haircut so I went to a place I pass all the time called Hair Rodeo, a Korean salon near my apartment. I figured it'd turn out fine because Koreans are stylish people, right? I had every intention of getting a short bob; but then, at the last second, I panicked and told the hairdresser, a waif of a man with a teased pixie, to give me something shoulder length. For only $7, it seemed like a safe bet. He confidently hacked and hacked away at my hair... until it turned into a mullet. A male Korean pop star mullet. Not so cute. So I peddled away on my bicycle looking like a big Korean transsexual dressed in an all-REI outfit, and ducked into McDonald's for some comfort food.

I will ban all pictures of me for the next three months. Until my hair's grown out.

Oh, Jean.... I thought we talked about this? Now you gonna keep the camera off when you Skype?

Just go to the $30 salon and get it fixed already, OK?

In closing, when you go to McDonald's for comfort food, I think you know there's a serious problem.

nice visual, Jean.

Oh, dear. Ahem, we Skyped about this, too. Just because you CAN pay $7 for a haircut doesn't mean that you should. Sounds like a good reason to pay another $7 and get the short bob.

You know I recognize the celebs in the pics, right? :-)

you are very lucky. i went to france when i was younger and my travel companion (who spoke no french, but believed herself cool) cut her hair in paris. she went from shoulder length to military buzz cut.
very lucky indeed...

The good thing about my long mullet is that I can keep it in a ponytail.

there was that time when someone made me look like Joan Jett--AND I paid a pretty penny for it on Melrose. So at least your haircut was only $7. And I would like to add, as I said on Facebook, korean male pop stars look like girls ANYWAY, so you probably look as pretty if not MORE pretty than them!
